Butylene Sealant 551

Since Butylene Sealant 551 is an oil-based plastic sealant, it forms an elastic film of approx. 1 mm, and remains soft and plastic under the membrane.

Used for grouting around doors and windows, as well as between building elements where no major mechanical influences occur. Particularly suitable for hidden joints, at ventilation ducts and for assembling MaxiFlex frames etc

Butylene Sealant 551 adheres to most commonly used building materials. The grout cannot withstand constant water exposure, and has limited resistance to direct exposure to UV light and high heat.

The product is a declared item in the Supply Chain Declaration Portal (SCDP) for New Buildings generation 3 & 4.
