Dana Lim reinforces workplace environment initiatives with new EHS Specialist
To maintain and further develop the focus on environment, health and safety, Dana Lim has, as of September 1st, hired Sissel Trojaner as a new EHS Specialist.
At Dana Lim, occupational health and safety is not just a formality, but a natural part of the company's culture and values. Therefore, it is an important step to bring in an additional resource who can work across the organization and ensure that safety and health continue to be highly prioritized.
As an EHS Specialist, Sissel Trojaner will help support safety efforts throughout the organization. Among other things, she will work preventively with the work environment, prepare workplace assessments, and follow up on the challenges employees encounter in their daily work.
"My task will be to support the company's safety work. We must always stay ahead of new requirements and work preventively with the work environment. I will be looking at whether accidents could potentially occur elsewhere in production, so we can prevent them from happening," she explains.
Strong professional expertise and sharp competencies
Sissel Trojaner holds a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Studies, where she specialized in the social, cultural and political factors that influence health. This aligns closely with Dana Lim's own values, which, in addition to ensuring safe working conditions for employees, also focus on creating a healthy and positive work environment.
"My background has given me strong analytical skills and an interdisciplinary understanding that allows me to view the work environment from multiple perspectives. This helps me find solutions that not only prevent accidents but also support well-being in everyday work," she says.
She also comes from a position as a health advisor, where she worked with employee health screenings and provided guidance to both managers and staff. This experience gives her a broad understanding of how health and working life interact, knowledge she will now bring into play at Dana Lim.
Therefore, Dana Lim's Environmental Manager, Dorthe Christensen, is pleased that Sissel is now joining the company.
